Investing Dilemas
I believe, everyone of you has already gone through the ' Become a Crorepati ' articles and are already inspired to become one. After reading through such articles, I feel investing and getting rich is all Dependant to the risk profile of a person. If u want to be tension free and are not the greedy type of person, aiming at earning a fixed income at the end of your investing tenure, then stick to the traditional investing instruments like PPF, FDs, Insurance etc. If you are the get rich quick kinda person, equities are for you. However the risk is also equally huge, since your portfolio value will fluctuate with the markets. My view would be be a balanced person. Invest 75% of your investments in the traditional investments and then decide to play with the remaining 25% in equities. Once you being to get a good feel of the returns and equity markets, you can think of diversifying your portfolio. Next Dilema? When do I start investing ?
